Vital Congregations

The Alabama-West Florida Conference is joining United Methodists across the denomination to grow the number of vital congregation’s effective in making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Our work is focused on cultivating fruitful leaders and congregations, encouraging each congregation to engage in a strategic planning process that sets reasonable, assessable and achievable goals based upon its individual context. This process equips and resources local congregations to meet their goals.

Please use the Vital Congregations Planning Guide accessed below to engage this process and set your goals and enter them on the vital congregations website. We ask you to do so by March 1, 2012. The cumulative goals from the churches of our conference will be taken by our bishop to general Conference next spring and presented as an offering of our commitment to grow more vital congregations.
