 Rev. Dan Morris

 

(Montgomery, AL) Bishop Paul L. Leeland announces that Rev. Dan Morris has been appointed as the District Superintendent of the Dothan District of the Alabama – West Florida (AWF) Conference, effective July 1, 2011.

Currently serving as the senior pastor of Navarre United Methodist Church of Navarre, Florida, Morris was ordained as an elder in the AWF Conference in 1984. Morris’ previous appointments in the conference include senior pastor at First United Methodist Church of Millbrook, associate pastor at First United Methodist Church of Ft. Walton Beach and pastor at the East Tallassee/Carville charge. His student appointment was at the White Oak/Liberty charge.
 
“We are pleased to announce Dan to our conference cabinet. He has effectively served his previous appointments across the conference and will be a valuable asset to our cabinet and the Dothan district,” Leeland stated.
 
Morris is a graduate of Candler School of Theology and Huntingdon College. He and his wife, Sharmon, have been married for 31 years and have three children Wesley, David and Stephanie; and welcomed their first grandchild this past week.
